: If you run the 1/4 and trapping at around 105-107 mph do you usually shift to 4th or stay in 3rd all the way to redline? Most of the time I usually shift to 4th, but only like 2 seconds before teh 1/4 mark. One time I stayed in 3rd until I hit the rev limiter and ran a 13.7 at 106mph with a 2.5 60'. Other times I ran the same ET with about the same trap speed with a 2.2 60' but shifting to 4th. Just want to know some other 5sp TTZers usually do in the 1/4. : Thanks
If you could have the rev-limiter taken out or raised you'd be better off letting it carry threw the end of 3rd gear.Just think 107,108 mph your traveling alote of distance to be shifting into 4th as your going across the 1/4 line. GOOD LUCK DRAG Z(KY) 11.41 122mph (OLD SETUP)
